Just make sure that once you set it to Borderless mode that you set the resolution back to "100%" - i.e. Running the game in Windowed or Borderless mode seems to do the trick though (if you don't mind not playing in fullscreen mode). I also got it in the summer sale and I'm having/had the same problem. This is the only game that does it and its a pain in the ar se. file even states the correct resolution, but the game just wont launch in it unless its maximised mode, which kills my pc. 4K SHADOW OF MORDOR 720P
My desktop resolution is set to 2160p (native), yet when I launch SoM, it presents 720p as 100% in the resolution settings. Otherwise the sceen tearing is really bad.
If v-sync is not working you should try disabling the "in game" v-sync and turning it on through the Nvidia control panel. Tick the box "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" Right click on the file and go to propertiesĥ.
